The "Analogy Vol. 1" compilation was spawned under the ruling that each artist could use no more than 3 analogue synths (not counting drum machines, effects units, etc.). The music ranges from traditional sequencer-based berlin school (create, syn, altres, modulator esp), via melodical (remotion, emmens, aerts, tescee), ambient (ellis and roach, 4m33s) to experimental (nerell, roach and oken, storey).
"Musik Von Harmonia" is the debut album from the highly influential Krautrock/Kosmische Musik group Harmonia. Harmonia, was formed by the addition of Neu! guitarist Michael Rother to Cluster, the duo of Hans-Joachim Roedelius and Dieter Moebius. They recorded the album from June to November 1973, in Forst Germany. It was produced by the band members.
Ned Raggett's review for Allmusic : "The debut Harmonia album is at once a product of their source bands and a fine new twist on them, resulting in music that captures what for many is the Krautrock ideal..." He adds "...it's at once playful and murky, steady and mechanical, a supergroup of sorts who easily achieves and maintains such a seemingly overstated status by embracing a variety of approaches that work wonders."

Dieter Moebius (born 1944 in Switzerland, died 20 July 2015) was a German/Swiss experimental-ambient electronic musician.
Moebius studied art in Brussels and Berlin and met there Hans-Joachim Roedelius and Conrad Schnitzler(Tangerine Dream). They founded a band Kluster in 1969. After the departure of Schnitzler, they changed their name to Cluster. Later Moebius and Roedelius founded the band Harmonia with Michael Rother (Neu!), which also collaborated with Brian Eno.
Dieter Moebius was involved into numerous projects with such musicians as Conny Plank, Mani Neumeier (Guru Guru).Moebius toured with Michael Rother as Rother & Moebius in 2007. Additionally, on 27 November 2007, a Harmonia reunion concert was held in Haus der Kulturen der Welt, Berlin, where the band performed together live for the first time since 1976.

"Blue Moon" was Moebius's (Cluster/Harmonia) last solo release for Sky Records. It is the soundtrack to a film of the same name, some kind of late '80s German crime thriller, possibly. Anyway, this is the only instance of Moebius writing a film score and as such it's defined by certain parameters which mark it from the rest of his work. A totally unique album.

Katzenmusik is the third studio album by the German solo artist Michael Rother. It was released in 1979 and includes the single "Katzenmusik 9" b/w "Katzenmusik 2".

The album was recorded between March and July 1979 in Germany at Rother's own studio in Forst and Conny Plank's Studio. Receiving positive reviews the album was released as an LP in 1979 before it was re-released by Polydor in 1982. The album was issued on CD in 1990, and then reisused again in 1993 with bonus tracks and having been remastered. The artwork for the album was designed by Rike with photography by Ann Weitz and Rother himself.

In this album Jaki Liebezeit (from Can) plays the drums but the entirety of the album was written and performed by Rother utilising guitar and electronic instrumentation.
Paul Nagle released this amazing compilation, in 2013, that has selections from his rare cassette albums of the period 1980-1985. This compilation was released in vinyl and cd. His style of music is similar to Steve Hillman and to other artists of early Berlin School electronica. I like the variety of his compositions and I can't wait to listen to the rest of his discography. Truly great stuff!
Paul Nagle began to compose and perform electronic, experimental music in late 1970s. A leading figure in the UK electronic music scene, he released his early albums on cassette and performed at the legendary first UK Electronica festival in 1983. He has, over the years, released many new age / chillout and electronic albums, often in collaboration with other musicians.

Tusco is composer Piero Umiliani and this is an experimental/ambient electronic album from the early 80s. Very little is known about this rare lp but I'm guessing he is using a giant EMS Synthi 100 synthesizer. If you have any information please post it in your comments.
Beaver & Krause were a musical duo made up of Paul Beaver and Bernie Krause. Their 1967 album The Nonesuch Guide to Electronic Music was a pioneering work in the electronic music genre.
In addition, he led workshops at the Beaver & Krause LA studio attended by a who's who of film composers and session keyboardists of the time.
Thanks to their demonstrations of the Moog at Monterey, Beaver and Krause also introduced the instrument to a number of other leading American pop acts including The Doors, Simon & Garfunkel and The Byrds, helping to create the vogue for the Moog that emerged in the late 1960s and early 1970s.
Hyman did two principal recordings using the Moog synthesizer. The first was The Electric Eclectics. The follow up was the Age of Electronicus and was predominantly a covers album with Hyman interpreting on the Moog. Great examples of Moog composition.
Dick Hyman studied at Columbia University and played with some of the greatests Jazz musicians like Teddy Wilson, Red Norvo, and Benny Goodman. Hyman did different recordings under different nicknames and in 1966 recorded a cover of "Moritat" on harpsichord with his trio which sold over a million copies. During late '60s he investigated the earliest periods of Jazz and Ragtime and researched and recorded the music of some of the first early Jazz figures. Hyman experimented with various keyboard instruments, including Baldwin and Lowrey organs. In the late 60's he recorded a series of Avant-Garde albums using a Minimoog synthesizer focused in the instrument. He recorded some of the most apreciated albums from the Space Age Pop. Hyman has also worked for TV, scoring film soundtracks for Woody Allen, and as a Jazz pianist and organist.
Wonderful library album by French composer Claude Perraudin. It has both electronic and acoustic sounds and some tracks begin with short field recordings. Some are easy listening and some more experimental. Thanks to Julian of "Progressive Review" for the link.

The soundtrack to the film Deep Red (profondo rosso) was mainly composed and performed by the Italian progressive rock band Goblin. Director Dario Argento had originally contacted jazz pianist and composer Giorgio Gaslini to score the film, but he was unhappy with his output, deeming it "awful". After failing to get Pink Floyd to write music for the film, Argento turned back to Italy and found Goblin.[2] In the final score, only three of Gaslini's original themes were retained however, in the film's original theatrical release, Gaslini was given full composer credit for the entire score, while Goblin were wrongly credited only as performers [i.e. "Music by Giorgio Gaslini, performed by Goblin"]. This was corrected in subsequent home video releases.
In 1996, the complete film soundtrack was re-released on CD by Cinevox, under the supervision of Claudio Simonetti. This release includes all the music featured in the film, as well as a remix of the main theme and two sound effects tracks from the film itself.

Serge Bulot is a French composer of electronic/space rock music and member of band Pachacamac. This was his first solo album from 1980. It has some weird ambient tracks and space rock music created by electric violin, analogue synths, acoustic and electric guitars. At times its simple and melodic and other times strange and dark. A difficult album to categorize but really beautiful.
