The West Coast Pop Art Exp Band - Vol.1 (1967)

One of my favourite psychedelic rock bands. Volume one is their first album that has covers of popular songs from the 60s (by the kinks and bob dylan) and original compositions as well. Pure psychedelic folk-rock Zappa/captain beefheart strangeness served with beautiful melodies.

The Love Machine - Electronic music to blow your mind by!!! (1968)

A very strange and obscure album that is full of hammond organ and weird fx. Not really electronic. It is more like psychedelic rock. Simple and amusing!

thaneco - thaneco

Thaneco is a psychedelic post rock composer from Patras-Greece. He has been active for quite a long time. This is his debut album which is heavy influenced from 70s progressive rock and experimental electronica. There are also a few more mainstream tracks that will appeal to a broader audience.

A.R. Machines - Eine Grune Reise, Erholung (1971)

A.R. Machines is Achim Reichel's progressive-krautrock solo project.

Achim Reichel (born on January 28, 1944) is a musician, producer and songwriter from Hamburg, Germany. He is known for his 1991 single "Aloha Heja He", as well as for having fronted British Invasion-influenced band The Rattles, who, among other achievements, were selected to open for The Beatles on the Fabs' last-ever tour of Europe in 1966.

In 1968, he co-founded the psychedelic rock group Wonderland which also included English ex-patriate Les Humphries who would soon start his own Les Humphries Singers. In 1971, Reichel left the group for his own progressive Krautrock solo project, A. R. & Machines, of which the first album Die grüne Reise (The green journey) was critically acclaimed and likened to bands such as Kraftwerk and Tangerine Dream. Since 1975, Reichel has taken a keen interest in recording traditional German songs and classic poetry as modern-style music, which includes such albums as Dat Shanty Alb'm (1975), Klabautermann (1977),Regenballade (1978), Fledermaus (1988), Melancholie & Sturmflut (1991, including the hit Aloha Heja He), Wilder Wassermann (2002), and Volxlieder (2006).

"Eine Grune Reise, Erholung" (The Green Journey, recreation) is, in my opinion, just like an LSD trip. This is highly recommended.

Matching Mole - Little Red Record

Matching Mole's Little Red Record (1972) is the second album of the English Canterbury Scene band Matching Mole. The band was formed in 1971 by Robert Wyattafter he left Soft Machine. Compared to their first album, Little Red Record was more of a team effort, with Wyatt taking a less involved role. It was produced by Robert Fripp of King Crimson, and features Brian Eno as a guest musician.

The album title refers to Chairman Mao's Little Red Book. This reference is also carried over to the faux-Chinese style of the album cover, which is reminiscent of posters created during the Chinese Cultural Revolution.

My favourite track of this record is "God song" - clever guitar chord progression and excellent lyrics - perfect example of Whyatt's genius. Also Brian Eno's synth fx create dark and mysterious atmosphere.

Caravan - In the land of grey and pink (1971)

In the Land of Grey and Pink is an album by progressive rock band Caravan, released in 1971. According to Allmusic, "it is considered by many to be the pinnacle release from Caravan." It has remained in the catalogue ever since its original release in 1971.
Along with Soft Machine, Caravan were a leading exponent of what became known as "the Canterbury sound" - a concoction of styles including jazz, classical and traditional English influences
